Margaret Evelyn Barbour McClain was born on February 24, 1935 in Olive Branch Mississippi. She passed from this life on Saturday May 26, 2018 at her home in Winchester, Tennessee, at the age of 83 years. She grew up in Olive Branch and attended all 12 years of school in her hometown which she deeply loved. After graduating from high school, she worked for Standard Printing Company as secretary and also did some commercial art work in Memphis. After marrying her husband, Jimmy, she became a devoted wife, mother and home-maker. She was preceded in death by her father John Bernard Barbour, loving mother and dear friend Margaret Evelyn Bailey Barbour, infant sister Anna Frances Barbour and brothers, John, David (Dot), Walter (Ann), Mark and Jim Barbour. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jimmy Lafay McClain; 2 daughters, Tina (Charlie) Smith and Janet (Terry) Pack; 2 sons Jimmy Darrell (Christy) Clark (Carrie). She was blessed and is survived by 7 grandchildren Ceth (Erin) Carter, Bonnie (Brian) Garland, Mollie (Brent) McBee, Alex (Kelly) Pack, Rebecca McClain, Kaitlyn McClain, Abby McClain as well as 5 great grandsons, Noah Carter, Jonas Carter, Daniel Garland, Luke Garland, Andrew Garland; Sister-in-law, Marie Barbour and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Monday May 28, 2018 at 2:00 o’clock. Visitation will precede the service from 12-2:00. Mr. Grady Floyd will serve as officiant. Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park, Garden of Meditation. Memorial donations may be made to Winchester Christian Academy 1230 South College Street Winchester, Tenn. 37398
