Margaret Cleo Johnson Henson, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, was born Dec. 31, 1931 in Lutts, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Bradford David and Dora Belle McFall Johnson. Mrs. Henson, a retired assembly line worker and member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Church, died, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at her home at the age of 84 years, 11 months, 14 days.
Survivors are her husband, Glen Henson, Muscle Shoals, Alabama; sons, Gerald Henson, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Donald Henson, South Bend, Indiana; daughters, Brenda Hartman, Eau Claire, Michigan, Sharon Ward, Walkerton, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and three on the way; brothers, Alfred Johnson, Florence, Alabama, Paul Johnson, South Bend, Indiana; sisters, Shelby Peak, Mackenell Johnson and Wylodean Johnson, all of Knoxville, Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashley Henson; great-granddaughter, Megan Ford; brother, Granville Johnson; sisters, Doris Howard and Barbara Johnson.
Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church, Waterloo, Alabama, with Steve Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation is tonight from 5:30 to 8 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood. Her body will be placed in the church two hours before the funeral.
