Mrs. Margaret Annette (Roper) Mitchell, age 87 of Guntersville, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.
She is survived by her children, Yancy Mitchell, Wanda Byrom (Bill), and Shelia Dyson (Jerry); grandchildren, Anika Mitchell Hart (Dalton), Caleb Dyson, and Paul Eric Byrom; great-grandchildren, Rhett Hart and Easton Hart; and siblings, Luke Roper, Jean Reid (Randy), Elaine Love (Tommy), and Debra Bennett (Steve).
Mrs. Mitchell is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde ‘C.J.’ Mitchell, Jr.; daughter, Vicky Harden; parents, Tally and Angie Roper; and siblings, Ellis Roper, Tag Roper, Ralph Roper, Joe Roper, and Delores Smith.
Brother Jerry Dyson will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Carr Funeral Home. Burial will be at Gilbreath Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at Carr Funeral Home, Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Mitchell’s family and friends.
