Margaret Ann Weible Pickle – Obituary

Margaret Ann Weible Pickle, 79, retired Professor at Columbia State Community College, died Friday, October 20, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Madison, Alabama.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Doty and Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born December 27, 1937, in River Rouge, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Paul Weible and the late Jewell Moyer Weible. On January 26, 1974, she married William Douglas Pickle who preceded her in death April 20, 2013. Mrs. Pickleearned her Master’s degree in Education from Middle Tennessee State University and taught Office Management at CSCC for several years. She was currently serving as treasurer of the Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family, always thinking of someone who may like one of her special treats. She was a member of First Assembly of God, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Prime Timers Group.

Survivors include her daughter, Katrina Pickle (Rev. Daniel) Doty of Madison, Alabama; son, Kevin (Allison) Pickle of Murfreesboro; brothers, Larry (Beth) Weible and Jim (Jane) Weible, both of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Jerry (Betsy) Weible of Rockwall, Texas; grandchildren, Braden Doty, Will Doty, Sam Doty, Magnus Pickle, Remini Pickle; sister-in-law, Jean Tapscott of Gallatin; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include member of the Prime Timers Group at First Assembly of God.
