Margaret Ann Hughes Ivey, 85 of Cordova, passed away Thursday January 22, 2026.
Mrs. Ivey was a member of Dilworth Church of God. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Baptist Medical Center-Princeton. She graduated from Wallace State University after earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Pete” Ivey; her mother and stepfather, Versie and William Wingo, and her brother, Woodrow Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter Michelle Wilson and husband Richard; her granddaughter, Maggie Wilson; her sisters, Mary Jean Ivey and Gwendolyn Akins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday January 25,2026 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Patrick McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in Dilworth Church of God Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
