Margaret Alice McElhaney Burcon, 88, of Mentone, passed away Tuesday morning, December 1, 2020 at home surrounded by love and peace. She was born on April 28, 1932 to her parents Jadie and Claude McElhaney.
She married the love of her life Dick Burcon on November 25, 1965 and spent a wonderful and loving 55 years together as husband and wife. Margaret left behind many loved ones including her husband, Richard Burcon, sister, Joyce Culberson, brother, LB (Pat) McElhaney, two daughters, Linda Clark and Dodie (David) Myers, one son, Robert “Storkey” (Lori) Steward.
Mema will also be missed by her five grandchildren Cindy (Tommy) Harrison, Charles Pullen, Amanda (Wes) Fontaine, Jennifer (Micheal) Bass, and Carol (Blake) Hunter; her seven great grandchildren Melissa (Josh) Shoults, Samantha Harrison, Gracie Pullen, Zach Pullen, Abigail Pullen, Skylar Bass, and Camden Bass; her three great-great-grandchildren, Addie, Callie and Blakely Shoults; and her special nieces.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bankhead Cemetery with Rev. Heath Croft officiating
