A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Manuel T. Lopez, 97, will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery with Bro. Glen Gilbreath officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.
Mr. Lopez died on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Falkville Health Care Center. He was born July 25, 1926, in California, to Frederico Alberto Lopez, Sr. and Lillian Margarita Gallegos Lopez.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran, where he served 8 years. He was a wonderful husband and brother and and loved working and mentoring children, especially the special needs children he worked with in the Ontario- Montclair School District. He fostered several children. He also worked as a Pin Setter for a bowling alley for a time. He was a champion bowler for the U.S. Army Bowling League. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruth Vasquez and Lucy Haro, two brothers, Orlando Lopez and Leroy Lopez.
