Manuel Arthro Flores, age 83, of Decatur, AL died on Monday September 08, 2014 at the River City Center.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Funeral service will be Friday, September 12, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery with Rev. Robert Haney officiating.
Manuel was born on August 12, 1931, in Brownsville, TX to Pedro and Maria Flores. He moved to the Delta in 1936, and farmed in the area for many years. He was a former sanitation employee for the City of Cleveland. He moved to Falkville, AL, where he lived for more than 20 years; he also lived in Hartselle, and Decatur, AL. Mr. Flores was an avid gardener and loved watching various types of western movies. He was a member of Tunsel Road Baptist Church in Hartselle, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Della Goss Flores; and one son, Tommy Goss.
He is survived by Son, Manuel “Gerald” Flores of Olive Branch, MS. Daughter, Amy Vestal of Merigold, MS. Son, Chris Hull of Ruleville, MS. Son, Jessie Goss of Woodbury,TN . Son, Roger Goss of Somerville, AL. Son, Johnny Goss of Smyrna,TN . Son, Sam Goss of Ruleville, MS . Daughter, Mary Townsend of Ruleville, MS . Daughter, Nancy Goss of Smyrna, TN. Daughter-in-law, Eula Goss of Lacey’s Spring, AL. 15 Grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
