Man Barricades Himself In Killen Motel…At Least One Hostage According To Authorities

KILLEN-Around 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 6 Lauderdale County Deputies along with the U.S. Marshall were attempting to serve a warrant on a suspect who was located at the Super 8 Motel off of Highway 72 in Killen.  The suspect is from Florida and Federal Marshalls were trying to serve the warrant on him early this morning when the suspect fired on them and proceeded to barricade himself and possible one other person in a room at the motel.

Officers from the Florence Police have been called in to assist.  The EOD and SWAT Team have been called to the motel as well.
