Mamie Sue Hood Corbin, 82, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her residence after a sudden heart attack. Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday afternoon, April 12, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will follow at the Union Hill Cemetery. Danny Clark will be officiating.
She was born to the late Jessie & Louise Johnson Hood on April 29, 1939, in Appleton, Tennessee. Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Corbin, son, Edward “Eddie” Corbin, half-brother, Robert “Gene” Hood, and two sisters, Ive Lee Hood and Elaine Adams.
Survivors include her son, Randall (Sherry) Corbin of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Melani (Jason) Braggs, Michelle (Matt) Jones, Christina Corbin, Tia (Shaun) Wallner, and Adonis Corbin; twelve great-grandchildren: Tamara, Skylar, Brooklyn, Brianna, Brayden, Zane, Layla, Caroline “Alex,” Sara, Marie, Aidan, and Amber; and a special cousin, Debbie Woods.
Sue was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an avid fisher who deeply enjoyed spending time with friends and family members.
