Mamie Louise White, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi (formerly of Booneville), died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She was born Mamie Louise Smith on February 11, 1929. She married Melvin Lee White, and had one son, Dale L. White. They lived in the Hills Chapel Community on Highway 30 in Booneville, Mississippi until September of 2008. Her life consisted of taking care of her family, growing flowers, working in her yard and gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, January 5 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Rodney Windham and Bro. Pete McCoy. Interment will follow in Liberty Memorial Gardens in Booneville. Pallbearers include Makenzie White, Justin Moreland, Lanny Borden, Mike Borden, Brandon Grissom, and Danny J. Clingan. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son – Dale White (Rhonda) of Iuka; 2 brothers – Curtis Smith (Erline) and Billy Smith (Sondra), both of Booneville; 3 grandchildren – Chris White (Christie) of Burnsville; Brandie Taylor (Brent) of Baldwyn; and Amanda Clark (Chris) of Iuka; 8 great grandchildren – Jessica Penna (Zach), Justin Moreland, Makenzie White, Ben Taylor, Dalton Shackelford, Cayden Clark, Taylor Cooper, and Drew Zaccagnini; and 2 great great grandchildren – Channin and Tripp; and numerous brother and sister in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Myrtie Smith; and her husband, Melvin L. White.
