Mamie Annette Elliott, age 65, native of Cherokee, went home to be with Jesus, Thursday, February 28, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2013, 12 until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with R. C. Scott and Mark Daily officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery.
Mrs. Elliott was a member of Asphalt Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcie and Lucille Cornelius, her husband, Tommy Elliott and brother Jimmy Ray Cornelius.
She is survived by her sons; Michael L. Elliott, Andy Elliott and wife Shannon; her daughters, Gwen Brents and husband Ronald, Sherry Levey; brothers, M. L. Cornelius, Joe Cornelius and wife Shane, Ronnie Cornelius, sister, Becky Massey and husband Larry; grandchildren, Will McIntosh, Zach Barrett, Erica, Ashley, Alex, Maddie, Ben and Michaela Elliott.
