Mr. Malcolm Troy Turner age 84 of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at his residence in McMinnville, TN. He was born December 27, 1938, in Smithville, TN, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was a retired quality control manager for A.O. Smith (formerly Magnetek/Century Electric) and a member of the Church of Christ at Highway 56 North. Malcolm was an avid hunter, enjoyed helping others whenever and wherever there was a need. He and his wife Helen spent much time making jams, jellies, and pies for family and friends. He enjoyed his grandkids and great grandkids greatly. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents Freeman and America Jones Turner, wife of 65 years Helen Turner, a son Malcolm Troy Turner, Jr., and great grandson Cory Preston Cannon.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law Vanessa (Benny) Cannon and Bridget (Dale) Harris, grandchildren Ben Cannon, Lynn (Kristina) Cannon, Justin (Kim) Cannon, Cade (Lindsey) Reagan, and Jacob (Caroline) Reagan, great-grandchildren Cheyann Cannon, Remington Cannon, Grayson, Imberlee, Abigail, and Sadie Cannon, and Amelia Reagan, a sister Wanda Sue Lindsey, and a special niece Nancy Keen. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also surviving.
A private family graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Wayne Cantrell and Jonathan Stubblefield will officiate. Military grave rites will be administered by V.F.W. Post 5064 and American Post 173 at Mt. View Cemetery.
