Maebell Whitt age 97 of Athens passed away Saturday at the Limestone Lodge in Athens. Mrs. Whitt was born April 6, 1928 in Limestone County, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Athens, and a retired real estate agent and caterer. She is survived by Sons Gary Whitt, Ray (Lisa) Whitt and Russell Whitt. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Jaclyn Whitt, Tiffany Whitt, Selena Whitt, Blair Whitt, Stewart Whitt and Craig Whitt. Great Grandchildren, Kadin, Jackson, Garrett and Polly. By one Sister, Linda Perry and one Brother, Robert Sanderson. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Glenn Whitt. Services will be 1 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Tee Jackson officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation, 11 am Tuesday until service time at Spry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jaclyn Whitt, Tiffany Whitt, Selena Whitt, Blair Whitt, Stewart Whitt and Craig Whitt. The Whitt family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Limestone Lodge and Melissa Manning, Linda Wallace and Madison Stutts for their care.
