MADISON-The Madison Police released a statement concerning a Pedestrian Hit-And-Run fatality:
“Madison Police responded to a fatality hit and run involving a pedestrian on Edgewater Drive at approximately 0600hrs. Traffic Safety Units and Detectives responded to the scene.
Madison Police identified a suspect who was later arrested and charged with a felony. MPD Detectives charged 26 year old Erica Nail of Huntsville with Felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident. She was booked into the Madison County Jail and held pending a $30,000.00 bond.
Madison Police have identified the victim as 75 year old Carol Ann Arey of Huntsville.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible. No further information will be released at this time.”
