Madison County Sheriff’s Office along with Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office Investigating Explosion on County Lake Road

Madison County – On January 30, 2025, at approximately 7:45 P.M., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an explosion in the 1200 Block of County Lake Road. The caller also reported that a male subject had been injured in the explosion.

Deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, along with personnel from HEMSI and the Central Volunteer Fire Department, responded to the scene and discovered a male subject suffering from severe injuries. The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded and recovered several items identified as bomb parts and bomb-making materials. The investigation remains active and is being conducted jointly with the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit.
