MADISON COUNTY-Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner and Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl will be among the speakers at the Grand Opening of the Madison County Republican Party headquarters for the 2022 General Election on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 12 to 3 p.m.
“Our team has put a lot of effort into getting headquarters up and running for this year’s election. We want to be accessible as possible to all Madison County voters, so they can get the information they need to know to make an informed decision on who to support this year,” said Madison County GOP Chairman Steve Schmidt.
The headquarters is located on the lower level of Parkway Place Mall, near Dillard’s.
“We decided to return to the mall this election cycle because of the high visibility. Last election cycle, we had people from across the county – and even from other neighboring counties – stop in to visit with us, ask questions, and pick up merchandise for their favorite candidates,” said Schmidt.
Volunteers will be staffing the headquarters, with opportunities for area Republican candidates to come by to meet the voters. Yard signs, t-shirts, and other election year merchandise will be available. The headquarters will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 to 3 p.m. through Election Day.
