MADISON-A statement from Sheriff Blake Dorning concerning a suicide attempt on Wednesday, July 8th:
“Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Suicide Threat at the United States Post Office in Hazel Green Wednesday, July 8. Deputies arrived at the scene and made contact with an unknown male subject making verbal threats to harm himself. The subject pulled out a sharp instrument and cut himself in the throat. Deputies gained control of the male and provided life saving medical trauma procedures until Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Personnel arrived and rendered additional aid. The male was transported to Huntsville Hospital. The subjects condition is unknown at this time.”
