HUNTSVILLE-On February 17, 2026, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a possible conspiracy to commit murder. The intended victim, Robert Slayton, reported that an acquaintance informed him that his

wife, Kristin Slayton, along with Christopher Robertson, had allegedly solicited him to kill Mr. Slayton.
The alleged solicitation occurred in the 600 block of Hemlock Drive in Huntsville, Alabama. Detectives immediately initiated an investigation.

As a result of the investigation and interviews conducted, Kristin Slayton was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder. She was transported to the Madison County Jail and booked on a $30,000 bond. Following continued investigative efforts, Christopher Robertson was also arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder. His bond was set at $30,000.
“A threat against someone’s life is something we take very seriously,” said Sheriff Kevin Turner. “Our detectives remained focused, followed the evidence, and handled this case professionally from start to finish. I’m proud of their work.”
This investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is available for release at this time.
