Madeline Johnson Mooney  Madeline Anne Mooney, 78, of Huntsville, AL, passed away July 22, 2022, at her home.

Madeline was born on October 24th, 1943, to Robert Vincent and Anna Delle Johnson in Houston, TX. She was predeceased by her husband Loren Glenn.

She is survived by her three children: Laurie Freedle, Beth Whelpley (Jimmy), Michael Mooney (Dana); five grandchildren: Jake Freedle (Ellen), Megan Finn (Sam), Katie Dasaro (Brandon), Stephen Dasaro (Karli), Maddie Dasaro (Dalton); one great grandchild: Delaney June Freedle; and two, soon-to-arrive babies, Freedle Finn and Baby Dasaro.

After raising her family, Madeline achieved her Management Information Systems degree from University of Alabama Huntsville.  She went on to have a rewarding career in software consulting that spanned over 30 years, from the World Trade Center in New York to an Indian Reservation in Scottsdale, AZ.

Madeline was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  She enjoyed watching Braves’ games and was able to quote statistics.  She enjoyed seeing them win the World Series last year.

A visitation service will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28th from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Furst Place Pet Resort, 785 Ryland Pike, Huntsville, AL 35811. Furst Place offers boarding with a personal touch and even graciously adopted Bella, Madeline’s fur baby.
