Madelene McAnally Madelene McAnally, age 80, of Russellville, moved to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Madelene worked for years as an inspector at Lee Company.   She was known as the oldest teenager her family ever met, always on the go and enjoying life.  She loved her church family at Gateway where she faithfully attended.   She was a mother to many and a home for several.  Madelene loved to travel with her sisters and was always there for all her family and any of their special events.  She always made sure we knew she loved us, and she showed us God’s love and kindness to all of us throughout our lives.  She was kind, selfless, and truly one of the sweetest women and we will love and miss her forever.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. McAnally; parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.L. Mitchell; brother, Charles Mitchell; nephews, Sid Willis, Elijah Michael; brothers-in-law, David Haddock, Pete Turner; and sister-in-law, Linda McAnally.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Lisa Thomas (Scott), Tammy Mitchell, Chris McAnally (Vicky); grandchildren, Felicia Taylor (Josh), Hank McAnally (Marlie), Cody Mitchell (Alexia), Lucas Mitchell, Cody McAlpine; great-grandchildren, Alayna Taylor, Paisley Hensley, Evelyn Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell, Kamryn McAnally, Hayez McAnally; sisters, Edna Haddock, Margaret Turner, Audrey Pounders; special nieces, Angie Bailey, Tyra Flanagan; host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 03, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  A Homecoming service will be at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.  Bro. Nick McSpadden and Bro. Byron Gann will speak at the service.  The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

The pallbearers will be Jeff Gladney, Bencil Greenhill, Rodney McAnally, Andy McAnally, Reese Bailey, Hunter Willis, Ken Blankenship, and Tyler Willis.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Gateway Church of God, for the outpouring of your love, prayers, and visits during this time.
