Mack Ellen Grant, 90, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Decatur Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverand A. Ray Lee officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She was a Charter Member of Oak Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Grant was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Slater for 53 years, and Pete Grant; her son Robert “Buddy” Slater; one brother; and one sister.
She is survived by her four daughters, Nina (Donnie) Mitchell of Decatur, Jeannie (Johnny) Harwell of Trinity, Cleo (Ray) Nowell of Huntsville, and Judy (Randy) Barnes of Decatur; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Kent, Elon Wallace, Donnie Mitchell, Johnny Harwell, Tim Segars, and Dillon Campbell.
