Funeral service for Mable Purdon, 92, will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Blackman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Purdon died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born February 26, 1925, in Pontotoc County, MS, to Benjamin Clovis Tallant and Mary Alice (Hall) Tallant. Mable was a seamtress for many years and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband: Leroy Purdon and her daughter: Ann Purdon Rhea.
