Mrs. Mable “Louise” Hogan 92, of Ardmore,AL died Monday morning April 6, 2020 at Hospice Family Care, Huntsville, Alabama.

Born Monday, October 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Larkin Gates and Josephine Rolin Gates.

Mrs. Hogan was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. She loved The Lord, her family, working in her garden, and sewing. She worked at The Pepper Patch until she was over 89 years old. Came home, and worked in her garden until dark most nights, then canned until bedtime.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Ross Hogan; and siblings, Eugene “Bud” Gates, Bill Gates, Alberta Johson, Katie Woodfin, and Leatrice Anderson.

She is survived by one sister, Magdalene Angus; children, Troy (Gale) Hogan, Janice (Larry) Whitt, Tim Hogan, Shelia (Steve) Pepper; grandchildren, Donahue (Leslie) Hogan, Heath (Kristy) Hogan, Allen Whitt, Alex (Lori) Whitt, Adam Whitt, Brett (Chawnta) Hogan, Brooklyn (Doug) Watson, Nikki (Trey) Hughes, Stephen (Natalee) Pepper, Benjamen (Kelly) Pepper, Clayton Pepper; and great-grandchildren, Garrett Hogan, Jason Hogan, Luke Hogan, Savanna Whitt, Sydney Whitt, Hogan Whitt, Aaron Whitt, Hayden Hogan, Keira Hogan, Britain Watson, Abbigail Watson, Emma Watson, Jacqueline (Logan) Bryant, Hulee Pepper, Zelia Pepper, Teagan Pepper, and Logan Pepper.

The Family will have a private visitation and a private service. Bro. Spencer Hardiman will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Whitt, Alex Whitt, Adam Whitt, Donahue Hogan, Heath Hogan, Stephen Pepper, Benjamen Pepper, Clayton Pepper, Brett Hogan, Garrett Hogan, Jason Hogan, Luke Hogan, and Hogan Whitt.
