Mable Killough Barnes Profile PhotoA Celebration of Life Service for Mable Killough Barnes, 76, of Rienzi, MS will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home – South officiated by Bro. Mike Moore and Bro. Ralph Culp with interment to follow in Rienzi Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, from 5-8 PM and Thursday, January 18, from 12 PM till service time at Magnolia Funeral Home -South. Pallbearers include Lee Benjamin, Brad Nash, Jason Perry, Andy Rowsey, Chris Bullock, Rodney Wyht, and Collin Barnes. Honorary pallbearers are Otis Huggins, James Hight and Tim Johnson. Mable was born in Rienzi, MS on June 17, 1947 to the late Clyde Ruben Killough and Mildred May Box Killough and passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center on January 13, 2024. She graduated from Rienzi High School in 1965 and was a proud citizen of the city of Rienzi.  Mable was an active lifetime member of Rienzi Baptist Church where she participated in the Women’s Sunday School Class and Women of Faith.  She was a Mary Kay Consultant and a member of the Red Hat Society. Mable enjoyed reading, listening to music, and attending ballgames but her greatest passion was being with her family during the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, James Ray Barnes (Sherry) and Gregory Clyde Barnes (Rachel); her grandchildren, Paisley, Autumn and Collin Barnes; her brother, Cecil Killough; her sisters, Jean Carolyn Voyles (Wayne) and Brenda Hight (James); her close friends, Carolyn Hearn, Sandy Benjamin, and Patsy Huggins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 54 years, Jimmy Ray Barnes; her sister, Helen Wortman; and her grandparents, Lewis and Bell Killough, and Pink “Benjamin” and Warren Box.
