lynnLynn Moore, 92, died Friday, October 4, 2013, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born July 30, 1921, the daughter of William and Maudie Hopkins. A lifelong Tupelo and Lee County native, she owned and operated Lynn’s Beauty Shop for many years. She was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy and spent many hours serving in her church. She loved working in her yard, tending her flowers, and continued riding her John Deere as recently as this past spring. Her family and friends remember her wit and keen sense of humor during the special times they shared together

Services will be 2 pm Monday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marvis Bostick, Sr. and Bro. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Norris (Sam) of Tupelo; her son, Larry Moore of Tupelo; two sisters, Athelene Thayer of Ft. Wayne IN and Dorothy Jean Adams of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Patrick Rogers, John David Rogers (Mary Shea), Jackson Moore (Barbara), and Carly Cody (Tom); four great-grandchildren, Alex Rogers, Catherine Rogers, Leland Cody and Hunter Moore; and special friends, Louise Kisor and Betty Raines.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Houston Moore who passed away in 1994; and four brothers, Hoyt, Grady, Douglas, and Charles Hopkins

Pallbearers will be Patrick Rogers, John David Rogers, Alex Rogers, David Adams, Jeffrey Thayer, D.W. Hopkins and Bob Coley.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
