Lynn Marlin Smith, age 46, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She resided in the Center Community on Smith Farms in Lawrence County, TN. She taught at E.O. Coffman Middle School for 21 years and attended Thousand Hills Cowboy Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Joyce Roddy Marlin; and her father-in-law, Joe Lee Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jason P. Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; her fur babies, Buster and Lola; two sisters, Sandy Foster (Gene) of Summertown, TN and Donna Jones (Tommy) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; mother-in-law, Darlene Smith of Summertown, TN; aunt, Judy Long of Lawrenceburg, TN; niece, Sara Beth Smith; and nephews, Jake Smith and T. J. Jones (Savannah Campbell). Those serving as pallbearers are Phillip Smith, Jake Smith, Tommy Jones, T. J. Jones, Tommy Long, and David Steadman.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 23, 2020, with Nathan Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Family Cemetery, 171 Self Road, Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to E.O. Coffman Middle School Library.
