Memorial service for Lynda Benfield, age 72, of Huntsville, will be Wednesday, Nov. 11 , 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Ward Webster and Ronnie Blair officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service.
Mrs. Benfield, who died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital, was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Hartselle, to Jack and Audrey Harvel. She was preceded in death by her daughter Beth Benfield, and her parents Jack and Audry Harvel. She retired from Sparkman Middle School where she taught for 18 years.
She is survived by her husband, James Benfield of Huntsville; son, Todd Benfield of Birmingham; brothers, Paul (Linda) Harvel and Royce (Buzzy) Harvel of Hartselle; sister, Martie (Bob) Maddox of San Antonio, TX.
