Funeral services for Luther Young Norton were Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Keith Murner and Ray McWhorter officiating.
Burial was in Moulton Memory Garden.
Mr. Norton died October 29 at Helen Keller Hospital. He was born January 9, 1933 in Lawrence County to James Thomas Norton and Cora Lee Proctor Norton.
He graduated from Lawrence County High school in 1951. He was a member of the Hatton Masonic Lodge and had a 32nd degree. Mr. Norton loved gospel music, the Atlanta Braves and Alabama football.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Butler Norton; two sons, Benjy Norton (Laura) of Ford City and Keith Norton (Beth) of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Benna Gillespie (Flint Jr.) of East Lawrence; brother, Cullie Norton of Moulton and one sister, Inez Dutton of Moulton; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
