Luther Alan Miller, 68, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away on November 21, 2022, surrounded by his immediate family. He was born in Chattanooga, TN, on February 10, 1954. While most called him Alan, he was known to close friends as Big Al, and his favorite name was PawPaw. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and to know him was to love him. His family was always his priority, and spending time with family, most especially his grandchildren, was his favorite activity. In 2020 Alan received a liver transplant, and made it a point to live every day to the fullest ever since, putting family time above all else.

A Memorial Visitation to honor Alan’s life and memory will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne, AL, on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2-4pm.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marsha Hope Miller; daughter Lindsay Limbaugh (Matt) of Huntsville, AL; son Jay Durham (Kelly) of Huntsville, AL; and daughter Brandi Cothran(Todd) of Franklin, TN. His beloved grandchildren are Brady and Grayson Limbaugh; Wyatt, Tucker, Riley and Miller Durham; and Emily and Hannah Cothran.

Alan was preceded in death by Reginald and Eula Miller.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL (https://philanthropy.mayoclinic.org/donateMC).
