Graveside services for Mrs. Lucy “Lou” Denton, age 72, will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 11 AM in Rosehill Cemetery Humboldt, TN.
Mrs. Denton a retired retail clerk and member of Harvest Church in Jackson, TN passed away on Thursday November 26, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by: her husbands Joe Powell and Jerry Denton; three sons Johnny Powell, Joey Powell, and Dale Denton her parents Porter and Gethel (Anderson) Moore; three sisters Dean Powell, Dixie Minor, and Erlene Ellis; and three brothers Don Moore, Eldon Moore and Jimmy Moore.
Mrs. Denton is survived by: a daughter Mary Jo Daugherty of Atoka, TN, a son David Simpson of Dyersburg, TN; two step daughters Jodee Sturm of Brighton, TN and Jackie Powell of Southhaven, MS; a sister Madrid Abercrombie of Holiday, FL; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
