Lucy Augusta South, age 97 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Dewayne West will officiate.
Mrs. South was preceded in death by her Dad-Rufus Williams; Mother-Vinie Williams; Sister-Ann Banks; Brothers-Virgil Williams and Curtis Williams; Husband-Vernon W. South.
She is survived by her Daughters-Marcella Martin, Janice Stewart and Sheila Davis; Son-Victor South; Special Nieces-Betty Gilreath and Jenny Barker; A Host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Connor West, Lynn South, Nathan Hicks, James Reeves, Caleb West and Jose Angeles.
