Lucille Sanders Pierce, 87, of Hornsby
Mrs. Pierce passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Tenative plans are for a visitation at the funeral home in Bolivar Saturday night and services in the Shackelford Chapel on Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in the Hatchie Cemetery near Hornsby. Arrangements will be completed after 12 Noon on Friday, August 14, 2015.
A native of Bolivar, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Mary Myrtle Cox Sanders. She was the widow of Mr. William Barney Pierce, Jr. and a member of the Hatchie Baptist Church. She had formerly worked for Levi Straus, Master Slack and Kilgore.
Among her surviving relatives is her daughter, Mary Frances Pierce of Hornsby. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Lynn Pierce.
