Lovie Faulkner Lawson – Obituary

LovieMrs. Lovie Faulkner Lawson, 90, of Florence, passed away Saturday March 30, 2013, at her home with her loving son by her side.  Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Monday April 1, 2013, at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 2pm in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Dr. Todd Chastain officiating.  Burial will follow in the mausoleum at Tri Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Clarksville, Texas but resided in Florence all of her life.  She was a devoted member of the Florence Blvd. Church of Christ where she taught so many children over the years and several  times was voted “Teacher of the Year”. She also had been a substitute teacher at Weeden School and Wilson High School.  Mrs. Lawson was a good and loving mother who loved her church, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Lawson.  Surviving are her son, Robert Edward Lawson; grandchildren, Kirk Edward Lawson and Amy Lawson; great-grandson, Carson Prestidge.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Dale Boren, Myron Crunk, Jamie Cox, Toyce Dixon and Ronald Inman.
