Graveside services for Mrs. Louise Wood Washburn, age 84, are scheduled for 11 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mazies Chapel Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Washburn passed away late Saturday in Jackson. She was born October 13, 1936 in Decatur County to the late William M. and Elvia Cooper Grice. She was retired from Walmart and enjoyed gardening, flowers, working puzzle books, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Mr. Huston Wood and Robert Duane Washburn; one son, Stephen Wood; and one grandchild, Stevie Wood. Survivors include her sons, Tim H. Wood (Sandy) and Kenneth Wood (Dana); her daughter, Leisa Scott (Ricky); her brother, Jimmy Grice; Jean Maness (late A J); five grandchildren, Brandon Arnett (Leslie), Brian Scott (Holly), Melissa Maccarino (Stephen); Adrienne Baker (Eddie), and Chance Wood; and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 8 AM until 10:45 AM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. The family requests all visitors wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines.
