Louise Horton, 87, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at The Meadows, Fulton, MS. She was born August 11, 1930 in Russellville, AL and worked at Genesco, Fulton, MS. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy, Golden, MS.

Services will be Friday, February 23, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Edwin Pharr officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one son – Gary Horton, Golden, MS; two grandchildren – Ramonda Storment (Dan) Red Bay, AL and Tiwana O’Rear (Kevin ) Fulton, MS; five great-grandchildren – Andrew Mann (Courtney), Lexy Russell (Tanner), Alex Mann, Ben Holcomb and Aedan O’Rear and one great-great-grandson, Easton Mann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Horton, her parents, Addie Austin Martin and Rubel Powell Martin, two infant daughters, Brenda Nell Horton and Sandra Kay Horton, a brother, Kenneth Martin and a sister, Jewel Emerson.

Pallbearers will be Dan Storment, Andrew Mann, Kevin O’Rear, Alex Mann, Ben Holcomb and Aedan O’Rear.

Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at The Meadows and Sanctuary Hospice.
