Louise G. Ratcliff, age 97, passed away Sunday March 12, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Kimberly, Alabama. She was a faithful Christian, a member of Adamsville Church of God, and Ecorse Church of God in Ecorse, Michigan. Mrs. Ratcliff grew up in Empire, Alabama in Walker County. She lived in Detroit, Michigan for many years and resided in Fultondale, Alabama for forty three years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Ratcliff; parents, Lee and Lorrie Gossett; sisters, Lucille McCullough, Rhonda McGee; brothers, Francis, Theodore, and Talmadge Gossett.
She is survived by her daughters, Hilda K. Childress (Glenn), Martha R. Bruce (Larry); sister, Ola Nell Halley of Clemmons, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kerri Smith (Gene), Larry Bruce, Jr. (Carolyn); special grandson, Chip Kirkley; great grandchildren, Jake Estes, Riane Estes, BreAnna Bruce, Connor Bruce; great grandchildren, Colby Estes and Tanner Estes.
Funeral service will be Wednesday March 15, 2017 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial chapel. Rev. Ray Stewart and Dr. Sammie Reid will officiate. Family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 am Wednesday.
