Louise Anderson Thompson, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Florence, Ala., died on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at her residence, Elmcroft of Hamilton Place. She was a native of Lowell, Mass. and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Evelyn Anderson. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church of Chattanooga and member of the Challenger Sunday School class. She was a 1943 graduate of Fulton County High School.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jack T. Thompson; and a granddaughter, Cathy Griffin.
Survivors include her son, David W. (Sheila) Thompson, Ringgold, Ga.; daughters, Elaine T. Griffin, Chattanooga, and Judy T. (Joe) Jackson, Florence, Ala.; grandchildren, Joey Jackson and Jamie (Joshua) Scroggins, both of Florence, Ala.; Matthew Thompson and Joshua Thompson, both of Ringgold, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Julie Jackson, Maddox Jackson, Sarah Scroggins, Ethan Scroggins and Jude Scroggins, all of Florence, Ala.; sisters, Sandra Kelly and Patricia Carpenter; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in the funeral home chapel with
the Rev. Eddie Rasnake officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
