Louis Olive, age 78, of Killen, passed away June 5, 2022. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Ernest H. Olive and Nettie Danley Olive; sister, Brenda Gail Smith; and brother, Howard Lee Olive.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Shirley Olive; children Danny Olive, Kimberly Greuling, Wade Olive, David Henson, and Randy Henson; brother, Wendell Olive; and six grandchildren.
Louis joined the Air Force after high school and became an Air Force Policeman. After five years in the military, he began a career with Atlanta Police Department. When returning to Florence he began employment at Evergreen Transportation in security until retirement in 2008. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved to watch Alabama football. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Star. He will always be known as “L.D.” to his friends and coworkers and was so much fun to be around. We will love and miss our Papaw.
