The following obituary was lovingly written by Mr. Williams family.

Louis Burnett “Bill” Williams Jr. was a cherished resident of Hayden, Alabama. He passed away surrounded by family on December 8th, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on August 8th, 1937, in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Louis Burnett Williams Sr. and Mary Ruth Bearden Williams.

Bill was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Lynn Williams and his son Chris (Dunne) Williams, and a proud grandfather to Nathan (Magon) Frasier, Derek (Jennifer) Frasier, Morgan (Leigh) Guffey and Gunnar Williams, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps quickly achieving the rank of Seargent by the age of 20. He lived his life never wavering from the Marine Corps values of honor, courage and commitment.

He was a strong and unselfish man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. If a man’s value is determined by his word, then he was truly a millionaire. Integrity was at his very core.

Through his numerous accomplishments in life, he maintained an unpretentious humbleness that is rarely ever seen. From the day of his birth until the second of his death (31,898 days) Bill Williams did everything his way, no excuses or complaints. He will be so dearly missed.
