Louie Dee Gilliam, 94, of Huntsville, formerly of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mr. Gilliam was a native of Cherokee, AL and a combat veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He was a retired production foreman with Reynolds Alloys. He was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the VFW.
Mr. Gilliam was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Duffy Gilliam; parents, William Louis and Maggie Lue Hall Gilliam; 2 granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; and 6 siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou Blackburn (Henry); 1 granddaughter; 2 great-granddaughters; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
