Lou Nelle Barnett Hood, age 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at The Waterford in Smyrna. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Kroger, and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church for 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschell and Aileen Hughes Barnett; her first husband, John Kenneth Brooks, her second husband, Mitchell Hood; one brother, Kenneth Barnett; two sisters, Betty Jo Murrell and Shelby Purcell; and one granddaughter, Rachel Peery.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Sunday, November 29, 2015, with Ricky Cotton and Tony Shults officiating. Interment will follow at Restview Cemetery in Loretto, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Highland Park Baptist Church Steeple Fund.
