Lou Leleaux Profile Photo  Lou Leleaux, 79, of Toney, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She was born on May 20, 1947.

Lou had a strong faith in the Lord and will be remembered for the love she had for her family. She loved being outdoors gardening, riding motorcycles with her husband, shopping, spending time on the lake, and sailing. Her favorite activities also included going out to lunch with her friends and family.

One thing her family will always remember is how much Mrs. Leleaux loved Christmas, her favorite holiday. She was an avid collector of Possible Dreams Santas and Christmas ornaments. Her family describes her as the best wife and mother in the world, and she will be dearly missed.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Whitworth; her sister, Silvia Ann Whitworth; and her aunt, Ruth Boseck.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rafield Leleaux; her daughter, Jennifer Cooke of Huntsville, Alabama; her son, Bobby Harris (Amy) of Charlotte, North Carolina; her bonus son, Lynn James Leleaux (Duynia) of Hazel Green, Alabama; and her sister, Joan Smith of Madison, Alabama. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Cagle (Ashlyn), Kaitlyn Harris, and Haley Harris; her great-grandchildren, Addie Jo and Graylie Kate; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11am at Hazel Green Funeral home with Pastor John Bryson officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. After the chapel service, there will be a committal service and cremation burial at Madison City Cemetery.
