Mrs. Lorrie Ann Ashbrook age 63 of Henderson, died Friday evening, June 25, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN.
Lorrie was born in Henderson, on August 8, 1962. She was raised in Finger, TN by her parents Carolyn Matthews Rouse and the late Jacob Rouse, Sr. She was a 1980 graduate of Chester County High School.
She was taught to be a hard worker and had worked at several factories in the area during the course of her career.
On December 23, 2018, she married the love of her life, David Ashbrook, and they made their home in Henderson.
Lorrie’s favorite time of the year was the Christmas Season. She was always collecting Christmas decor and spent several months each year strategically placing these items throughout her home in preparation for the holiday.
She made use of anything and everything as a D.I.Y. Master. Her family referred to her as the “Push Pin, Bread Twister Queen” as they were two of her most common tools.
Lorrie loved her family. She’d had a special bond with her late grandmother, adored her husband David, and found great joy in her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband David Ashbrook, her mother Carolyn Rouse of Henderson, two daughters Crystal Canada (Patrick) of Jackson, Samantha Dawn Parker-Adams of Jackson; a stepdaughter Amy Walton (Keith) of Norfolk, VA; a stepson Dave Ashbrook (Kaitlyn) of Brownsville, GA; a sister Lisa Annette Russell of Jackson; 9 grandchildren Caley “Tooter” Huddleston, Gunner Gray, Alexia “Cream Puff” Brooks, Peyton “Pee Wee” Gary, Hunter Canada, Tyler Canada, Allisya “Scrunch Butt” Gary, Hayden “Mr. Smooch” Gary, Nathan “Buzzard Butt” Brooks; and a great grandchild Wrenley Young.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Jacob Rouse, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with burial to follow in Old Friendship Cemetery in Finger, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel on Monday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
