Lorraine Mae Phillips, 85, of Florence, passed away Thursday, December 06, 2012 at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2012 from 2 – 3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with a graveside service beginning at 3:30 in Pine Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Norman Hargett.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Phillips; son, Jimmy Phillips; sister, Virginia Baskins; brother, Floyd Balentine; parents, Titus S. and Myrtle Cynthia Hannah Balentine.
She is survived by her sons, Arnold, Danny, Jackie, and Jerry Phillips all of Florence, David Phillips of Lutts, TN; daughters, Melinda Phillips Smith , Joyce Bobo, Marilyn Jones all of Florence; brothers, John Lloyd, Chester, and Roscoe Balentine all of Florence; grandchildren, Roger, Frankie, Doris, Valeka, Chad, James, Blair, Ethan, Danielle, and Jeremy; 16 great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Ethan, Frankie, Roger, Chad,and Rocky Phillips, and Blair Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Phillips and Lonnie Lovelace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
