Funeral Services for Mrs. Lorraine “Frosty” Hill, age 88 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Barfield Baptist Church with Rev. John Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
Ms. Hill passed away on April 7, 2026 at Clay County Nursing Home. She was born and raised in Salem, West Virginia, lived in different parts of the country, including Georgia, but had lived in Clay County for over 63 years. She had worked for Piggly Wiggly over 40 years before retiring. Lorraine was a member of Barfield Baptist Church, enjoyed reading and working her find a word puzzles, “putting up” or canning vegetables from the garden, but what she loved the most was spending time with her boys.
Ms. Hill is survived by 3 sons: Donnie Dennison (Stephanie) of Lineville, David Lee Dennison (Leslae) of Meansville, GA., and Billy Denison (Patrisha) of Lineville; 3 grandchildren: Brittany Gibson, Ashley McCollum (Justin), and Tina Snow; 3 great grandchildren: Starla Gibson, Emma McCollum, and Luke McCollum.
She is preceeded in death by her parents: William Clarence Skidmore and Kate Wilhelm, a daughter: Teresa Ann Dennison, her husband: Gene Hill, and a sister: Helen Davis.
Pallbearers will be Matt Hendrix, Landon Howell, Andy Nelson, Keith McDonald, Luke McCollum, and Justin McCollum.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Barfield Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
