Lorraine Alice Allanson, age 84 of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on June 13, 1941, to the late Edwin and Jane (Read) Allanson. She was a certified esthetician by trade. Lorraine cherished the time spent with her beloved family as well as with her pets. Her artistic nature allowed her to enjoy photography, writing poetry, and scrapbooking and making cards for all occasions. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a good person to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Nadine Shatzko and Rosemary Meredith; grand monkey, Mazzie Marie; and sisters, Carol Griffth, Vern Allanson, and Linda Goldstein. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Michelle (Joseph) Cagle of Estill Springs and James Meredith of British Columbia, Canada; brother, Larry Allanson of Canada; grandchildren, Rose (Jason) Champion and Lisa Cagle, as well as several others; great-grandchildren, Seth Champion and Emma Champion, along with several others; and many nieces and nephews. Private family services are planned.
