Mrs. Lori Anne (Garner) McAulliffe entered her Heavenly Home Wednesday, October 28, 2015 after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama, December 10, 1963 to Jim and Carol Garner. Mrs. McAulliffe married Thomas (Tommy) McAulliffe December 4, 1998. Lori was a retired Civil Service employee with 25 years of service. Lori and Tommy gave love and a home to many rescue kittens. Lori was a Christian who knew and loved the Lord and was a member of The Rock Church. She was a great friend to many and will be missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband, her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Chris Black, brother, Robert Garner, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary McAulliffe, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Glen Hornbuckle, uncle, David Finger, aunt, Nancy Garner, nieces and nephews, Jessica (Heath) Oden, Jennifer Black, William Garner, Matt (Jennifer) McAulliffe, Stephen (Adrianne) McAulliffe and Joshua Hornbuckle; two great-nieces and two great-nephews, and many, many friends. She was preceeded in death by her inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Charles McAulliffe, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Finger, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Garner, her uncle, Mr. J. H. (Hank) Garner and her niece Miss April Hornbuckle. Visitation with family will be Friday, October 30, 2015, 4-5 p.m. with Memorial Service at 5 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home, 2305 Memorial Parkway NW, Huntsville, AL. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to a favorite charity or Cancer Research. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
