Lorene Rhodes, 89, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, September 20, 2021, at Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Lorene was a factory worker for many years and loved to help people. She is survived by three sisters, Ruby Brown, Betty Quillen, and Ann Wiley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Rhodes; her parents, Saul and Loney Haynes Highland; four brothers, James Highland (Lila), Porter Highland (Bea), Jordan Highland, and William Highland (Aline); four sisters, Pearl Barrett (Franklin), Christine Cooper (Willard), Emer Gene White (Alvie), and Mary Coggin (Charlie); and several nieces and nephews. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, graveside at Cypress Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Franky Smith. Interment will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
