Lorene was born in Marion County to Elic F. Pugh and Alice C. White Pugh. She was a resident of the Pea Ridge Community (outside Guin, Marion County, Alabama) for most of her life. She attended Marion County Schools in Guin, Alabama. She retired from Munsingwear in Guin with Twenty-seven years of service. She was a member of Free Water Free Will Baptist Church.

Died: Thursday, August 29, 2019 in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin.

Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, following visitation, at the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama.
Burial: West Alabama Memorial Gardens.
